Are you addicted like me?

I thought I might have a problem, or at least priority issues but didn't think I was an addict - until now.
While sitting in the carpool lane I was reading Baby Talk magazine (I keep a stash, usually Glamour, in the car so I don't loathe the wait) anyway, I read an article that said Internet addiction is on the rise - especially with SAHM like myself.

Here are the signs:
  • Do you check e-mail before doing other important tasks, like playing with or caring for your baby?
  • Are you constantly forming new relationships online?
  • Are you less productive at work or neglecting household tasks?
  • Do you often stay online longer than you intended?
  • Are you losing sleep due to staying online late at night?
  • Do you crave computer time when you aren't logged on?
  • Do you choose to go online instead of spending time with your partner?

If you answer yes to 3 or more of these, you might want to cut back or seek help.

Just don't start by stop reading my blog. lol.

Me? I don't think I'll be abandoning FB anytime soon, but I'll make sure I do laundry ever day ; )

Easter Pictures...Lots of Easter Pictures

Yay, the Easter Bunny came! and you can't tell from this far but he accidentally put the butterfly/flower painting kit in Ben's basket and the sea creature kit in Brinley's basket. He should be more careful next year, especially since Ben wasn't willing to exchange since "that was the one the Easter bunny left for me", lol.
Not sure why.

Look what he left us for breakfast....
chocolate bunnies and jellybeans!

Hopping bunny races

~All dressed up~

It's Bowen's 1st Easter!!
And, I know, I look tired - should've put on some lipstick.

Our best attempt at a family picture.

Bowen stayed awake just long enough for some pictures.

She calls this "lika lika bella", haha.

Mommy's handsome little men.

One last one with Nece & Pawpaw before everyone arrives

waiting patiently for the egg hunt...

We were able to go outside after all : )

The kids had a blast hunting and playing with everyone!
All loaded up!
then the candy feast began :0

We had a wonderful Easter - hope you did too!

My babes at Babe's

Today we headed down to Texas for Easter.
It's Bowen's first time to go!
He was very excited...
really, he was...
and it wore him plum out before we even left.

We decided to stop at Babe's Chicken Dinner House in downtown Sanger, TX.
It was our first time to eat there so of course I had to take pictures.

Who could pass up a giant chicken photo op??
It was strictly home cooking, family style restaurant and it was yuuummy!
I loved a sign they had hanging in there that read "We don't do skinny, we chunky dunk" - LOL.

Love small town Texas : )

We made it to Nece & Pawpaw's where the kids played & fished until we headed to Dallas for dinner at El Fenix with some friends.
It was great to catch up with them.
One couple has children born within weeks of Brinley & Bowen and the other couple is due with their first in June, so there was lots of baby talk at the girls' end of the table.
And this is what happens when you let your 4 year old run around and take pictures, so that you can talk.
This is one of many shots he took of the gum under the table.
And I don't think Brinley chewed it this time (at least Ben didn't get a picture of it if she did).

Here are the 3 amigos.
and yes, Brinley insisted on wearing her Easter bonnet out to dinner.

Who is Noggin's Moose A. Moose?

His name is Paul Christie.
Who knew Moose was a hunk?
Thanks Allison, for filling my mind with that image everytime I hear "believe in spring, it's on it's way..."

Congratulations Grad!

Bryce is now a P90X graduate and gets to enjoy a few days off - yeah! He completed the program without missing a single workout despite ice, snow, tornado and birth of a new son! I'm only 12 days in and I've already missed a workout (so I could stay up and create Pinky) so we're very proud of him.

I would post a picture but he probably wouldn't be too happy with me ; )
He's now getting ready for his triathlon in May.
We're definitely two different breeds.

Pinky Party

We did something a little different this year - we actually had the party at our own house! haha. With a newborn, Ben's soccer schedule and Bryce's work schedule it was just to hard to go home to Texas...so we invited immediate family & they were kind enough to make the drive up here : )
A few people couldn't make it, but we hope they're feeling better now.
Introducing...
Pink Dinky Doo
Brinley's only birthday request - A Pinky cake.
Yessarooni, Positooni...she got the birthday girl's seal of approval.

Tummy time with Bowen -
not to steal Brinley's thunder or anything but he rolled over today!!

This one is just for Pawpaw ; )

The kids were excited about the pinata.
Brinley got the first whack at it - in the garage because it was so cold out.

Opening a "few" presents...

"Brinley, you know that horse is for your dolls, right?"
uh-huh.

It was a great little party-
We loved having everyone over!

Blown Away

We just got back from an early morning at the soccer field. Misery - wicked wind ruining what could have been a beautiful, perfect soccer day. I had to make a trip back home to get scarves, hats & jackets. It's a grass blown all over you, dirt in your mouth kind of location. To put things in perspective...Brinley and I were sitting in fold up chairs and hers blew right over with her in it!
Oh, and Ben's team was also blown away. Not sure of the final score, I lost count at 10-0.
I think coach will think twice before cancelling practice again, haha.
