Two wheelin'

Brinley decided to get a jump start on her summer goal and lose those training wheels!

She is able to ride on her own for a little bit...

But is still very apprehensive...

or maybe just blinded by that hair in her face?

And she only wants Daddy to help...

Truth be told, it took Brinley a little bit to muster the joy. She loves school and will miss her teacher terribly.

Ben, not so much.

They both eat chicken, right?

Bo even got in on the fun before heading home with daddy.

The evening consisted of bouncing, hammering...

...coloring, playing basketball, throwing chickens, catching parachuting cows.

All ending with us snuggling up in blankets (mostly for warmth) in the parking lot watching Toy Story 3, having hot chocolate, cupcakes & popcorn...at which point we called it quits and went home.
Because staying all night wasn't going to work out with daddy's work schedule. And well, the low was about 40 degrees.
We'll catch the camp out next time, promise ;-)

Mother's Day delights

Ben's class made a cookbook and each child chose their favorite dish and supplied the "recipe". He even included that you need to "let it cool" because I'm notorious for serving food hot.

Little fyi - I have made him hamburger helper 2 times in his life.

Brinley's class hosted a Mother's Day Tea.
She greeted me, curtsied, presented me with a flower, hat and card.
Then served me tea & snacks followed by a couple of songs.

Bittersweet Goodbye

Today we said goodbye to the crib.
It has been bounced on, climbed on, and slept in by all 3 of my babies.
It has been both loathed & loved.
It will be passed on to a new baby.

My babies aren't babies anymore.
