School Drama

Ben had such a meltdown yesterday before school that I didn't think I would even be able to get him in the car, much less he would be able to function at school so I kept him home and told him Friday he was going - it's not an option! Oh my - the scene today was horrific. I took him to school and could not get him out of the car. Every door I opened he ran from and he was screaming (no tears really). The principal (who was already outside) got involved and since he would not be talked into going to school she grabbed him (with my permission) and carried him into school. I felt absolutely horrible but I could not let his fit triumph.
I did call to check on him and amazingly he had a good day. He did not cry at all and told me he had fun.

Addicted!

I tried these last weekend and now I'm addicted...love them! That's probably why I got in trouble yesterday from my doctor - I've already gained 11 pounds, which is 3 too much! Oops, I thought I was doing better the last couple of weeks. I had a heavy sweater/jacket thing on yesterday and um, maybe the baby is just getting big fast??? haha. She estimates I'm between 15-17 weeks but after I get another sonogram in 3 weeks, we will know better. Until then better lay off the Cheez its.

B-E-N

Okay, as frustrated as I am right now with Ben (he threw such a fit that I couldn't get him to school this afternoon), I got admit this is funny...
While at my doctor's appointment this morning (yes, I have to drag both kids with me every time I go) I had blood work and urine culture so I had to pee in a cup. Well, the first restroom I went in someone hadn't flushed so I flushed and then it started to overflow so I had to turn the water to the toilet off...in the midst of this I raise up and see Ben has grabbed a cup (like mommy) and started to write his name on it! I wouldn't let him pee in it but I did let him keep it since I didn't think they would have much use for a specimen cup with "Ben" on it. His penmanship is improving!!

Oh no!

Ben has been tired & crying at school every day this week and even went into the library to take a nap yesterday! I'm debating on whether to send him today. He can't get a morning nap because I have a doctor's appointment (and I don't think he would take one anyway). We've had a talk and I will see how the rest of the week goes but it looks like we may have to withdrawal him from school and I am heartbroken : (

Happy Anniversay to us!!

Today we celebrate 7 years of wedded bliss!!! Well, maybe it's not all bliss...my husband drives me crazy more than anyone else in the world! But we still love each other (and our family) more than anything. And the 7 years is a little misleading, too - we actually had our first date November 14, 1992. Yes, that's almost 16 years ago!! Our marathon courtship and 2 year engagement may sound crazy but it prepared us for marriage - we're pros at commitment. Like Bryce says, we're stuck with each other.

And for your entertainment...these are grainy because they are scanned in - we met way before digital cameras were around. Us at a '92 high school dance. Us at my Senior Prom, apparently I liked short dresses...

Our wedding & honeymoon - just the 2 of us in Ocho Rios, Jamaica.

Love this one! Bryce won the title of "Limbo King" at Dunn's River Falls.

Okay, I don't get it...

We go to Texas and Brinley goes #2 in the potty all weekend. We come home and she starts going in her pants again!

50% sure it's a boy!

I felt a little kick early this morning! Well, I'm pretty sure...I may have been dreaming because I was having a glorious night of sleep without interruptions. This is actually the 2nd time I've felt a kick in the early a.m. but I didn't think anyone would believe me the first time since it was weeks ago. But I felt Ben early and Brinley wasn't as active, even later on so I'm thinking it might be another wild boy : o Plus a few other similarities like craving mexican food (this time it's Pancho's, with Ben I lived on Taco Jalisco's super burrito) and with Brinley I ate a burger almost every day and the thought of a burger now makes me cringe. The sonographer ventured a guess that it's a boy but it didn't look like anything definitive to me. Also Bryce is certain he's feeling my symptoms (as he claims he did the first time)- I think we're suffering from allergies lately - but maybe he's right, and we have another little boy on the way...

Labor Day Weekend

We, of course, spent our weekend in Texas - not doing much, just hanging out with family. Here's a few pics...
Brinley found this hat in "her" room and loved to put it on and jump on the bed. She's so funny.
Here is one of Ben & Pawpaw about to take a ride to check out the pasture.
Here I am today at 14 weeks, but according to my last sonogram I may actually be a little further along. We're waiting for the next sonogram to see if my due date will change. And I know...not a great picture, or the coolest shirt but I got it for $4 and it's long enough to cover my belly for awhile : )
