The Spring Jam was Saturday night, my sister and her roomie/friend (my friend, too) came up from Texas to join me : )
I was excited to see the Randy Rogers Band but Lindy isn't a big fan so she was there for the Eli Young Band, Audreia was just there for some fun, haha.
The music was great, the people watching was rich, the drink that they tried to pass off for a margarita was horrible....we're still trying to decide what is was. Aud described it best when she said it's what purple passion perfume would probable taste like, lol.
We were blocked in by a police car after the concert so we strolled Bricktown and went to Starbucks & sat on the patio, it was a wonderful night to be downtown...relaxing.
We have decided that our age group 30-35 is a lost group, the vast majority of the crowd was younger, a few older but NO others appeared to be our age.
Oh well, we were there for the music...so even the drunk fools stumbling over us didn't bring us down too much. Note to Wormy Dog Saloon: maybe a concert in a parking lot with curbs isn't a good idea, LOL.
And I have to say now I am a fan of the Eli Young Band!!
So they are topping my playlist today - if you've never heard them before, listen up.
I love Texas Country!

It runs in the family
Brinley has a thing for stickers - this includes band aids & clothing stickers... anything that sticks, she's not too picky.
At Old Navy she hijacked a sticker off a tee.
In the dressing room she announced "I gave Bo a sticker!"
But this is the funniest part:
Back when she was just a little younger than Bowen is now, Ben stuck tape across her face.
Of course I have the picture!
I'll give you a second to digest that this is Brinley...
it must run in the family.
Locked Out
I lost my keys about 2 weeks ago...truly "long gone" lost. I caved in and got a new key chain but hadn't borrowed Bryce's house key to duplicate it yet...AND before we left for Texas I got in the car with the garage door unlocked then went back in for something and thought better lock it.
My point is...it's totally my fault we were locked out when we came back home on Memorial Day.
Thanks to all of your who answered the poll because I feel completely justified telling my husband he was a maniac for c) kicking in the door - which only one person chose and I think that was him, lol.
Seriously, who would kick in a door?
We went to Home Depot the next day to get keys made and I warned Ben "please do NOT tell them Daddy kicked in the door"...he smiled mischievously and said "I am, I am" LOL.
He didn't :)
And I can only joke in hindsight, at the time I was very upset.
So it turns out you can buy a door for as little as $19...who would've thought?
That's cheaper than a locksmith!

Determination
Watching a movie in the car....
Ben: I want to wear the headphones.
Me: um, I don't think they're working yet.
He kept them on the whole way.

M&M Olympics
Brinley's gym has what they call the M&M Olympics this week (we're getting more current now, yay)
It's where they show off all they've learned, like a recital without the glitz, and like other team sports they are awarded a trophy. Every week we walk through the doors and Brin immediately points out her M&M picture "there's mine" - it's the one between the light switch & fire extinguisher.
Brin with Coach Sherry, she loves her!
This is the point where I post my disclaimer:
I was videotaping, taking pictures and holding a crying Bowen, so these are the worst pictures I'll ever post!! But I still feel the need to share them :)
Here she is at the end of her floor exercise...
and on the low bar - she does this flip all alone.

Soccer is over
Last week Ben's soccer team had an end-of-the-season ice cream sundae party after practice. They haven't had a game in weeks due to the rain and even their make-up game was rained out :(
(These were taken with my phone, so the are a bit fuzzy.) Love the chocolate dripping down Ben's chin onto his chest, lol.
Of course Miss Brin had her some ice cream, too.
The boys were awarded their medals...
and showed off their muscles.
Ben was the first to lose his shirt during practice (not surprising) but then the other boys followed, lol.

Golf Party
These are some pics from a golf party the kids went to (once again, over a week ago) Ben hung out with the "big boys" and I stayed behind to help Brinley.
She actually aimed for the sand traps, guess she liked the color.
Speaking of color...
I wasn't really thinking when I dressed her in green - kinda a photographer's nightmare, huh?haha

I like this pic just because of her expression - it's one you don't see often.
They had great time!
and pretty much always do when invited to hang out with other kids.

Mother's Day Tea
The Friday before Mother's Day
(yikes, almost 2 weeks ago, that's how far behind I am thanks to the laptop episode!)
Ben's class hosted a tea party.
